Gucci is an Italian fashion label founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921, making it one of the oldest Italian fashion brands in operation. The brand began as a luggage manufacturer, producing luxury travel goods for Italy's wealthy upper classes and equestrian equipment like many historic fashion houses. In 1981, Gucci expanded its product line and held its first ready-to-wear fashion show. The collection, which centered on the 'Flora' pattern, debuted at the Sala Bianca, Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Italy. The luxury house turned into the printed, sequined, oversized-glasses-loving vision that we know today.
