Simon Porte Jacquemus founded the French brand Jacquemus in 2009. Simon Porte Jacquemus, then 19, moved to Paris from the countryside of Provence, intending to launch his label, Jacquemus. After working at a Comme des Garçons boutique, Rei Kawakubo quickly supported the Jacquemus brand, catapulting it into the spotlight. Jacquemus added a footwear brand to his womenswear offering in 2017 and menswear in 2019.
